In the days of heavy industrial goods transaction and transportation, there is lot of competition among all the companies vying for better profits and proper care is adopted in producing, molding, testing and very importantly, packaging. A product packaged elegantly and qualitatively is definitely going to grab attention of the consumers.

The selection of these parameters depends on factors like proper physical protection, containment, information transmission, security, marketing, portion control etc.

Machineries and Technologies Employed

There are many types of equipment available for this purpose; however the companies select their choice according to capital cost, reliability, capabilities, usage of energy, cost compatibility, productivity, efficiency etc. Some of them are discussed below.

There are forms, fill & seal machines first of all, which do literally what they are named as. These help a lot in industries like medicines and precious stones, gems etc where the products are portioned piecewise.

One group of machines like sealing, capping, seaming , leading machines are there whose primary job is to give capped or sealed protection to the product already ready in the container. They are automatic and electrical energy is converted into the mechanical or heat energy doing the required work out there.

There is a group of machines like clean, sterilize, cool & drying machines in which the equipments in the machinery clean the container, sterilize it biologically, maintain a very low temperature so that there is minimal yield of bacteria and drying it off finally. Some applications are like injections, milk containers etc.

Filling machines are the ones which fill the products in the containers forwarded to them continuously. They are synchronized all in tandem and it happens in a cyclic manner. Some examples are like filling powders, fluids, soft drinks, liquors, through nozzles of the machines which is fixed and timed by the programmer.

Materials used for Packaging

Several materials used in for packing products and overall packaging by the machineries are cans, bags-in-boxes, cartons, bottles, wrappers, wine boxes, barrels, crates, pallets etc

The bottles are used in various purposes as they contain from small amount liquor, distilled water to huge containers and gallons of dairy products, diesels etc from place to place. The boxes as such are just indispensable, as they give fantastic style, if properly designed and good enough physical protection. The barrels and pallets are used for heavy duty goods and products of higher volumes.
