Labeling is a very important part of any packaging and can come with bar code, polyester, shrink, adhesive, custom printed, tags, nameplates and graphics and art to make the label more attractive. The labels range from product ID labels, security and asset labels, totem and reflective labels, beam and rack labels to video tracking labels, warehouse and apparel labels.

Materials Used for Packing Labels:

The labeling materials include vinyl, reflexive destructible vinyl, fluorescent vinyl, holographic vinyl, static cling and convex vinyl, PVC and magnetic vinyl, Lexan and polyester. Lamination materials range from matte and gloss polyesters, Tedlar, polypropylene and velvet and convex vinyl. Labels are printed in different colors, shapes and prints using digital printers.

Machineries and Technologies Employed

The various types of machines used for packing labels are unique to the type of label you want to pack for your product and are in no way similar to one another. The various types of labeling machines include bar code printer, identification press machines, header labeling machines, dating or numbering machines, fruit labeling machines, packaging and color marking machines, label gumming and making machines, label perforation and printing machines, rotary and semi automatic systems. Other varieties such as ampoule labeling, label applying, labeling and end- labeling, stenciling and rubber machinery, tape embossers and hot foil stamp applying machines are also available. We mention some common label packing machines:

Ampoule Packing Machines: These are best suited to wrap the sides of an ampoule or vial. It has spring-loaded diameters with star wheels and conveyor-zed tray loading collection systems.

Hologram Applicator: This is used as a hologram applicator and is fixed on previous packing line conveyors. It can produce up to four hundred holograms a minute and can be used as the single machine for labeling with the products being firmly held on the conveyor line. The machine can be separately used for folding and pressing labels as per requirements.

Semi Automatic Labeling: These fall in the category of wet glue labeling and can label all kinds of stuff including grooved and brut shaped bottles. They are perfectly suited for labels that try cover more than the circumference of the bottle. They do not require the shape or size of the container to be changed and the special glue cylinder provided economizes the glue consumption.

Wrap Around Machines: These machines have an over printing device as an option. They also have inbuilt vacuum pumps.
